Compatible Electronics holds direct NVLAP accreditation for QCVN 54, QCVN 55, QCVN 96, QCVN 118, TCVN 7317, and TCVN 7326-1 at the Lake Forest/Silverado location — providing ILAC MRA recognized test reports accepted by Vietnam’s Ministry of Information and Communications.
QCVN standards are Vietnamese national technical regulations issued by government ministries. For telecommunications and IT products, QCVN standards relevant to EMC and radio performance are issued by the Ministry of Information and Communications (BTTTT). They are largely harmonized with international CISPR and ETSI standards, meaning measurements performed to international standards also satisfy Vietnamese requirements in most cases. All Vietnamese standards in Compatible Electronics’ accredited scope are accredited at the Lake Forest/Silverado location.
Products must comply with applicable QCVN and obtain certification from Vietnamese authorities before sale in Vietnam.
Note: Vietnam requires specific in-country declaration or registration processes. Compatible Electronics provides the accredited test reports; coordination with a Vietnamese certification agent for local filing is recommended.
A consumer electronics manufacturer needed QCVN compliance for a 55-inch smart TV with integrated WiFi for the Vietnam retail market. Compatible Electronics performed QCVN 118 (2018) radiated and conducted emissions testing at Lake Forest/Silverado, confirming Class B multimedia equipment limits. QCVN 54 (2020) WiFi radio performance testing was performed in the same session. Parallel testing for FCC Part 15B (ANSI C63.4), CNS 15936 (Taiwan BSMI), and AS/NZS CISPR 32 (Australia RCM) was completed simultaneously — delivering Vietnam, Taiwan, Australia, and US test reports from a single lab engagement.
A semiconductor manufacturer needed QCVN compliance for an NFC reader module operating at 13.56 MHz for Vietnamese POS terminal applications. Compatible Electronics performed QCVN 55 (2011) SRD testing at Lake Forest/Silverado, measuring 13.56 MHz magnetic field strength at specified distances, harmonic emissions at 27.12 MHz and 40.68 MHz, and frequency accuracy. QCVN 96 (2015) SRD EMC testing covered the broader radio compatibility requirements. Parallel FCC Part 15.225 and RSS-210 measurements in the same session produced combined US, Canadian, and Vietnamese compliance from one test engagement.
A networking equipment manufacturer required QCVN certification for a dual-band WiFi router for the Vietnam enterprise market. Compatible Electronics performed QCVN 54 (2020) 2.4 GHz spread spectrum radio testing at Lake Forest/Silverado — measuring conducted output power, EIRP, occupied bandwidth, spurious emissions, and band edge compliance across all 13 WiFi channels. QCVN 118 emissions testing for the router’s digital processing circuitry was performed in the same session. The combined QCVN 54 + QCVN 118 test report package was submitted to the Vietnamese certification agent for MIC/VRFD registration.
